Move My Account

Moving your banking over to Excel Bank is easier than ever!

We want to make your move to Excel Bank as easy as possible. With these hassle-free switch Instructions, you have the roadmap to make it happen. You won’t even need to visit your old financial institution!

We have lined out an easy, 6-step process to make this switch as simple as possible and limit the complexity of this process. Our expert Client Services team is here to guide you through the quick and easy process of closing your existing accounts and transferring your automatic deposits and withdrawals, all in one convenient visit or phone call. We will also assist you in selecting the perfect account products to fit your needs.

1. OPEN YOUR NEW EXCEL BANK ACCOUNT
For information about the various account types, please visit or call us and our expert Client Services team will help you select the most appropriate bank accounts for your unique situation and needs.

2. ENROLL IN EXCEL BANK ONLINE & MOBILE BANKING
Once you enroll in Online Banking and download the Mobile App, you will have full access to your all your accounts and additional Cash Management services at Excel Bank.

3. STOP USING YOUR OLD ACCOUNT
Do not close your old account quite yet but stop actively using the account you want to close. You should stop writing checks, initiating payments, and using your Debit/ATM card to allow for all transactions to clear and a final balance to be determined and moved over.

4. SWITCH YOUR DIRECT DEPOSITS
Contact vendors, merchants or anyone else who direct deposits money into your account. Notify them that you are switching your accounts.

5. CHANGE AUTOMATIC/RECURRING PAYMENTS
Transfer payments that are automatically deducted from your account by contacting your service providers or anyone else who pulls money from your account to give them your new account number.

6. CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNTS
Once all items have cleared your other account and your automatic payments and direct deposits are being successfully deducted or credited from your new account, it is time to instruct your former financial institution to close the account.
